How can I book a car?
Fill the personal details form, providing your name, country, mobile phone number and email address. If you are picking up at the airport or the port, please do not forget to provide your flight number or the name of your boat and the exact arrival time. Once your booking is complete, you will receive by mail a printable voucher.
What about the fuel and fuel policy?
Once you pick up the car, the representative at the rental desk will advice you what fuel type is required for the car. Usually there is an indication at the petrol cap as well.
All vehicles must be returned with the same amount of fuel as in pick-up. In case the renter returns the car with more fuel, the price of the excess fuel will not be refunded.
What happens in case my flight is arriving on delay to Crete?
In case your Flight is arriving with delay you will certainly not lose your reservation and it is preferable to inform us about the delay. for that we asking for your flight information it is extremely helpful on Airport car reservations.
With your flight information you are telling us exactly when you will arrive and it helps us track the plane either in case of delay or early arrival! So, if your flight is delayed, an employee of CreteBee will be there waiting for you and if it is going to arrive earlier we will have the car ready for rent as soon as possible. In addition, there is no fine, but if service is offered out of the operating hours, due to the delay, an extra fee 20 euro will be added to the final price.
Minimum drivers age?
Driver must be at list 23 years old or more, with driver’s license held for minimum 12 months, for all the car groups.
What documents do I need to present to collect the car?
The main driver needs to present the following (all held in their own name):
An ID card/passport
A credit card with enough credit to cover the deposit for the car
Full driving licence. All drivers must present a valid driver’s EU license or international license (for non-EU drivers)
Our eVoucher that you have received with the confirmation of the rental
How will we find you at the Airport to pick up the car?
An employee of CreteBee will be there waiting for you at the arriving exit on the building of the Airport. the employee will have a sind with the logo of CreteBee or with your name.
What happens if I return the car later / earlier than agreed?
In case the rental car has to be returned later you should inform us in advance. The car rental insurances are valid and cover you only for the period that indicated on the signed Agreement. Please, if you have to return the car later notify us as soon as possible!!!
We are unable to give a refund if you return the vehicle early (Greek bureaucracy…) BUT the “unused” amount will be credited to your next rental.
Please, if you have to return the car later notify us as soon as possible or If you wish to extend the contracted period, you must contact us as soon as possible. The car rental extension might be subject to availability but we will try our best to satisfy you!
Can I book a specific rental car model in Crete?
Like all car rental companies, reservations can only be confirmed according to the category and not according to the model, we will do our utmost to deliver the car you want. Please, if there is a specific reason (like special equipment, wheel chair etc.) let us know.
Can I drive the car outside the island of Crete?
No. Transporting and driving the car outside the main island of Crete is not allowed.
How do I add an additional driver?
You can add an additional driver when you’re booking your car. After selecting the car category, you will be able to see the next page with all the “Optional Extras” this offer provides.
You can also add an additional driver when you arrive at the rental counter to pick up your car.
NOTE: All age and licence requirements of the main driver, also apply to additional drivers.
What type of insurance the rentals include?
All rentals include insurance CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) with an excess amount depending on the car category (Terms and Conditions). Credit card in the name of the driver is required as guarantee. Super Full Damage Waiver (SFDW), with 0 excess and no credit card as guarantee, is also available for an extra cost upon request. With the Super Full Damage Waiver insurance you can enjoy worry-free holidays!
CDW or Super FDW insurance do not cover when the Greek driving code has been violated with particular reference to the restrictions of the consumption of alcohol and use of illegal drugs or driving off road.
What should I do in case of a breakdown or an accident?
In case of a breakdown or an accident you should contact the station where you picked up the car and the police, in the phone number 100 In case of accident (all contact information will be provided the first day of the rental). You should explain the problem to our CreteBee representative as clearly as possible. Help will be sent to your location as soon as possible. You should remain close to your vehicle until assistance arrives. If there is a problem that can not be fixed on spot, a replacement vehicle will be provided to you.
If I lose the key of the car what should I do?
In case of key loss, you should contact the local station where you picked up the car(all contact information will be provided the first day of the rental). Our CreteBee representative will bring you a replacement key. Key loss is not covered by insurance, so extra charges will apply.
Can I cancel my booking?
Of course you can. You can always cancel up to to 9 days before the rental starts, free of charge. Otherwise reservations cancelled with in 9 to 2 days of the start of the rental will be charged of a fee equal to a 2 day rental. 48 hours before the rental starts the reservation can not be cancelled end the deposit will not be refunded.
Can I upgrade my car?
Yes, you can upgrade your car. You can amend your booking free of charge and choose a different type of car. Changing the car will also change the price of the rental.
How do I pay for my booking?
On our website, you can use your credit card, your debit card or your PayPal account to finalize the payment indicated as “Payable now”. The remaining amount “Payable at rental desk” indicated on the voucher will be paid to our CreteBee representative at the rental desk, when you pick up the car. Cash preferably!
